What spiders and CEOs have in common

CEO is a spider, who starts managing a web (aka organisation) created by many spiders who came before him. The first and only CEO who manages his own web is the founder of an organisation.

Why organisation is like a web? Because it can survive without the spider who casted it. So, the founding spider is mostly a creator with all subsequent spiders being both improvers and creators.

To improve the web (aka organisation) we need to understand it first. We understand the web by riding on it, not by reading about it. While traveling the web we may notice that some lines don’t catch any food whatsoever. After we understand why those nods don’t bring any results, we can re-construct or eat them. There are places where we can see ourselves going beyond web’s reach, because they look promising. These are places where we may decide to cast additional net of our own liking. In this very moment we become a founding spiders of that particular part of a wider web. So, if we are able to cast and improve ours or someone else’s web we are a CEO material.
